Vraylar (Cariprazine) is a prescription medication used to treat certain mental or mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, bipolar depression, schizophrenia). Cariprazine belongs to a class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics. This medication works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. Vraylar helps smooth the ups and downs that happen with bipolar type I disorder. It improves overall depressive and manic symptoms, treats mixed episodes, and reduce the overall severity of the condition.

The most common side effects of Vraylar may include:
• Drowsiness;
• Feeling restless;
• Uncontrolled body movements;
• Vomiting or upset stomach
Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• A light-headed feeling like you might pass out;
• A seizure;
• High blood sugar;
• Low white blood cell counts;
• Severe distress or agitation;
• Severe nervous system reaction;
• Sudden numbness or weakness;
• Trouble swallowing or accidentally inhaling food or drink;
• Uncontrolled muscle movements in your face;
• Vision or speech problems
