Visken (Pindolol) is a prescription medication used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure prevents other medical problems like heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. Visken is also used to stop attacks of chest pain (angina). The active ingredient in Visken is Pindolol. Pindolol belongs to a class of medicines called beta-blockers. It works by blocking the effects of certain natural substances like epinephrine on the heart and blood vessels, lowering blood pressure, heart rate, and strain on the heart.
