Viibryd (Vilazodone HCL) is an antidepressant used to treat major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults. Vilazodone HCL belongs to the group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). This medication works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain such as serotonin. Viibryd may improve your mood, sleep, appetite, and energy level and may help you get back to your normal life. The recommended dose for Viibryd is 40 mg once daily. The starting dose is 10mg once daily for 7 days, followed by 20 mg once daily for an additional 7 days and then an increase to 40 mg once daily.

We currently have the brand from United States manufactured by Forest Laboratories. There is no generic available for this medication. Viibryd is available in the strength of 10mg/20mg/40mg Titration Pack. It is also available in the strength of 10mg, 20mg, and 40mg tablets.
You should not use Viibryd if you are allergic to Vilazodone or if you have any other allergies. Before you start using this medication, inform your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. This drug may make you dizzy. You should not drive or do any activity that requires alertness until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. Avoid alcoholic beverages. This medication should not be taken during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is not known if Vilazodone passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast feeding a baby. There may be a drug interaction between Viibryd and other medications such as Aspirin, Clopidogrel and NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen and blood thinners such as heparin and warfarin.
