Verquvo (Vericiguat) is a prescription medication used to reduce the risk of heart failure (HF) hospitalization and cardiovascular death. This medication is used in adults who have symptoms of chronic heart failure, who have been hospitalized recently or need to receive intravenous (IV) medicines and have an ejection fraction of less than 45 percent. Vericiguat belongs to the class of drugs called Soluble Guanylate Cyclase Stimulators. It works by stimulating an enzyme in the body called soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), which enhances heart function and helps blood vessels relax to improve blood flow.
