Ubrelvy (Ubrogepant) is a prescription medication used to treat acute migraine with or without aura in adults. Migraine is a condition that can cause severe headaches along with other symptoms, including nausea, pain, vomiting, and sensitivity to light or sound. This medication is not used to prevent migraine. Ubrelvy may be used alone or with other medicines. The active ingredient in Ubrelvy is Ubrogepant. Ubrogepant belongs to a class of drugs called calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of the natural substance that causes migraine headaches in the body.

We currently offer the brand Ubrelvy from Canada manufactured by Abbvie in the strength of 100mg tablets. The generic Ubrogepant is not available.
Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Ubrelvy. The most common side effects of Ubrelvy may include the following:
• Drowsiness;
• Dry mouth;
• Nausea
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Breathing difficulties;
• Itching or swelling of tongue, face, or throat;
• Rash;
• Severe dizziness
These are not all of the side effects of Ubrelvy. Always contact your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.
You should not use Ubrelvy if you are allergic to Ubrogepant or any ingredient in Ubrelvy. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed;
• Are pregnant or plan to become pregnant;
• Have liver disease;
• Have kidney disease
Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Ubrelvy and ketoconazole, clarithromycin, itraconazole, nefazodone, etc. Avoid medicines like indinavir, ritonavir, cyclosporine, fluvoxamine, or verapamil with Ubrelvy. Do not take this drug within 24 hours of consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is unknown if Ubrelvy will harm an unborn baby. Ubrelvy may be used to treat migraines in pregnancy to prevent complications such as diabetes or high blood pressure. It is not known if Ubrelvy is excreted in breast milk. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Use Ubrelvy precisely as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop using Ubrelvy without informing your doctor. Take this drug by mouth at the first sign of migraine with or without food. If your headache does not completely go away or goes away and comes back after taking Ubrelvy, you may take a second dose if it has been at least 2 hours since your first dose. If your symptoms do not improve, contact your doctor before taking more tablets. It is unknown if taking Ubrelvy for more than 8 migraine headaches in 30 days is safe. You should write down when you have migraine headaches and when you take Ubrelvy so you can talk to your doctor about how the drug works for you. Ubrelvy may make you drowsy. Avoid driving or using machinery until you can do it safely. Taking alcohol while using this drug can increase the side effects. Store Ubrelvy at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
