Tolak Cream (Fluorouracil Sodium) is a prescription medication used to treat actinic keratosis, a skin condition caused by sun damage. Actinic keratosis appears as a rough, dry, scaly patch, bump, or crust on the skin. It may look flat or slightly raised, varying in color from pink to red or brown. Sometimes, actinic keratosis looks like a wart-like surface. This condition can occur in any body area exposed to the sun, including the face, ears, scalp, neck, lips, chest, legs, arms, and hands. The active ingredient in Tolak Cream is Fluorouracil Sodium. Fluorouracil Sodium belongs to a class of drugs called topical antimetabolites. It targets and destroys cancerous and precancerous cells without affecting healthy skin cells.
