Tears Naturale is an over-the-counter medication used to relieve dry and irritated eyes. Wind, sun, computer use, air conditioning, and certain medications may make your eyes dry and irritated. The active ingredients in Tears Natural are hypromellose and Dextran 70. Hypromellose and Dextran 70 belong to a class of drugs called eye lubricants. They work by lubricating the eyes and preventing tear evaporation.

Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Tears Natural. The most common side effects of Tears Naturale may include the following:
• Increased sensitivity to light;
• Minor burning or stinging;
• Temporary blurred vision;
• Watery eyes

Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Eye pain;
• Continued eye irritation;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, severe dizziness, breathing difficulties

It is unknown if Hypromellose or dextran 70 pass into breast milk or if they may affect a nursing infant. Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Tears Naturale is an eye drop. Wash your hands before using the drug. Do not touch the tip of the dropper or place it directly on your eye. This can contaminate the tip and lead to serious vision problems. Do not use Tears Naturale if it looks cloudy or has changed color. This drug can blur your vision temporarily. Do not drive or perform any hazardous activity until you know how the drug affects you. If you are using other kinds of eye medication, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. If you use contact lenses, always remove them before applying the eye drops. Inform your doctor if your symptoms persist after three days. Store Tears Naturale at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
