Taxotere (Docetaxel Injection Concentrate) is an anticancer agent that has been approved for the treatment of breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, advanced stomach cancer, head and neck cancer and metastatic prostate cancer. Docetaxel belongs to the family of medications called taxanes. This medication works by slowing the growth and spread of cancer cells. This medication is given by injection into a vein by a health care professional, over one hour every three weeks or as directed by your doctor.
