Spectro is an over-the-counter medication used to treat small patches of itchy, dry, red, or inflamed skin caused by eczema and dermatitis. Eczema is a type of dermatitis and is a condition that causes your skin to become dry and itchy. This condition weakens your skin’s barrier function, which is responsible for retaining moisture and protecting your skin from external elements. The active ingredient in Spectro is Clobetasone butyrate. Clobetasone butyrate belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing the skin’s reaction to triggers that cause skin irritation.

Manufacturer Information

We currently offer the brand Spectro from Canada manufactured by Glaxo in the strength of 100 gm rehydration cream and 275 ml kids eczema body wash. There is no generic version available.

Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. Do not apply Spectro rehydration cream to the groin area, genitals, under the arms, in the eyes, or between your toes unless your doctor recommends it. Spectro Kids body wash is moisturizing and helps restore dry skin. Wet your child’s skin in the bath or shower and lather the body wash on a loofah or washcloth. Apply a generous layer over the skin. Rinse it off and pat the skin dry with a clean towel. Spectro is for topical use only. Do not take it by mouth. Store Spectro at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
