Sernivo (Betamethasone Dipropionate) is a prescription medication that is used to treat adults with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. It is used on the skin to treat itching, redness and swelling. Betamethasone Dipropionate belongs to the group of drugs called corticosteroids. This medication works by decreasing inflammation and reducing the activity of the immune system. Sernivo spray is prescribed by doctors for up to 4 weeks. Apply Sernivo spray to the affected area twice daily and rub it gently.

The most common side effects of Sernivo Spray may include burning or stinging, itchiness, pain and thinning of the skin.
Inform your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects such as:
• Acne;
• Extreme or unwanted hair growth;
• Headache;
• Increased thirst or urination;
• Skin thinning or discoloration;
• Stretch marks;
• Swelling ankles or feet;
• Unusual or extreme tiredness;
• Vision problems;
• Weight loss

You should not use Sernivo if you are allergic to Betamethasone Dipropionate or if you have any other allergies. Do not use Sernivo spray on sores or on skin that is infected or thinning. This medication is for use on skin only. Do not get it in your eyes, mouth or vagina. You should not use this on skin areas that have cuts, scrapes or burns. Sernivo spray should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding.
