Savaysa (Edoxaban) is a newly approved anti-clotting drug to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism (SE) in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). Edoxaban is an oral once-daily selective factor Xa inhibitor was found effective as warfarin in preventing stroke-causing clots but with less major bleeding. The brand Savaysa is manufactured by the Japanese pharma Daiichi Sankyo in the USA. We currently do not have the generic of Savaysa. Savaysa is available in tablet form and strengths of 15 mg, 30 mg, and 60 mg.
The most common side effects of Savaysa are bleeding and anemia. Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs of side effects while taking Edoxaban.

According to the labeling, there is a boxed warning that Savaysa may be less effective among patients with certain characteristics of a kidney function predictor called creatinine. The advisory also warns that sudden discontinuation of Savaysa may increase the risk of stroke.
