Replavite (Multivitamins) is an over-the-counter medication used as a vitamin supplement in people with kidney disease. It contains water-soluble vitamins like vitamins B and C and folic acid. Replavite belongs to a class of drugs called Multivitamins. It works by replacing B and C vitamins and folic acid that may be removed from the body during dialysis treatments.

Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Replavite. The most common side effects of Replavite may include the following:
• Diarrhea;
• Increase in appetite;
• Increase in energy;
• Nausea

Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Confusion;
• Prolonged nausea;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat

Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Replavite comes as a tablet. Take this drug by mouth only. Take Replavite with a meal and a large glass of water. Use this drug on your dialysis days after treatment. Please do not use it before treatment. Dialysis removes Replavite. This medicine may cause constipation. Drink plenty of water or juice and eat more dietary fibre to prevent constipation. Store this drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
