Redesca (Enoxaparin Sodium) is a prescription medication used to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. Deep vein thrombosis is a serious condition that occurs when a blood clot forms in one or more of the deep veins in your body, usually in your leg. Redesca contains the active ingredient, Enoxaparin Sodium. It binds to and potentiates antithrombin (a circulating anticoagulant) to form a complex that irreversibly inactivates clotting factor Xa. It is also a low molecular weight heparin biosimilar (LMWH), which is an injectable anticoagulant drug used to prevent and treat thromboembolic disorders. Take this medication exactly as prescribed.
