QVAR Redihaler (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) is a prescription medication used to prevent asthma attacks such as wheezing and shortness of breath in adults and children who are at least five years old. Beclomethasone belongs to the class of drugs known as corticosteroids. This medication works by reducing the swelling of the airways in the lungs to make breathing easier. Qvar Redihaler must be used regularly to prevent breathing problems. This medication does not work right away and should not be used to relieve a sudden asthma attack. Use your quick-relief inhaler if you have an asthma attack.

The common side effects may include coughing, dry irritated throat and hoarseness.
Inform your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects such as:
• Bone pain;
• Easy bruising or bleeding;
• Increased thirst or urination;
• Mental or mood changes;
• Puffy face;
• Signs of an infection;
• Slow wound healing;
• Unusual hair growth;
• Vision problems;
• White patches in your mouth or your tongue

You should not use Qvar Redihaler if you are allergic to Beclomethasone or if you have any other allergies. It can make you more likely to get infections or worsen your current infections. Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spread to others such as chickenpox, measles or flu. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk.
