Prezcobix (Darunavir/Cobicistat) is a medication prescription used to help control HIV (human immundeficiency virus) infections. It contains two active substances: darunavir (also known as Prezista) and cobicistat. Darunavir is a HIV protease inhibitor to decrease the account of HIV virus so your immune system can work better. Cobicistat is a “booster” agent used to increase Darunavir to the correct level in the body. Always take Prezcobix together with other antiretroviral medicines to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in adults. It is NOT a cure for HIV or AIDs. Take Prezcobix exactly as prescribed.

We now supply the brand Prezcobix comes from the Canada manufactured by Janssen. Prezcobix is available in oral tablet and should be taken typically once a day with food. It contains 800 mg of Darunavir Ethanolate and 150 mg of Cobicistat. There is currently no generic equivalent for Prezcobix.
The most common side effects of Prezcobix include:
• Abdominal pain;
• Diarrhea;
• Headache;
• Nausea;
• Rash;
• Vomiting;
If you suffer any serious side effects as below, please notify your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
• Back pain;
• Black or bloody stools;
• Changes in fat distribution;
• Difficult breathing;
• Fever or chills;
• Increased blood sugar level;
• Irregular heartbeat;
• Jaundice of the skin or eyes;
• Mouse sores or ulcers;
• Muscle or joint pain;
Do not take Prezcobix if you are allergic to Darunavir or Cobicistat or sulfa or any ingredients in this medication. Tell your doctor about all the medical conditions you have had before.
• Bleeding problems;
• Diabetes;
• Heart disease;
• Hemophilia;
• High cholesterol or triglycerides level;
• Kidney or liver disease;
• If you are using hormone-based birth control;
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines including herbal supplements. Especially: antivirals, blood thinners, cholesterol drugs, erectile dysfunction (ED) or hypertension drug, St. John’s wort, and other HIV medications. This may change how your medications work or increase the risk for serious side effects. Grapefruits and grapefruit juice may interact Prezcobix and cause severe adverse effects. Prezcobix should NOT be used in pregnant women or women who need breastfeeding.
