Prevacid SoluTab (Lansoprazole) is a prescription medication used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid backs up into your esophagus. The drug also treats other conditions caused by too much acid in the stomach, such as heartburn, erosive esophagitis, and ulcers. The active ingredient in Prevacid SoluTab is Lansoprazole. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors. It works by preventing proton pumps from producing too much stomach acid.
