Otixal otic ear drops (Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride/Fluocinolone Acetonide) is a prescription medication used to treat bacterial ear infections. Ear infections affect the function of the eustachian tubes, making fluid hard to drain from your middle ear and leading to muffled hearing. Otixal ear drops is a combination therapy for treating ear infections. The active ingredients in Otixal otic ear drops are Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride and Fluocinolone acetonide. Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Fluocinolone acetonide belongs to a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating the natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, itching, and redness. Otixal otic ear drops will only work for bacterial ear infections. It will not work for other types of ear infections. Unnecessary use of antibiotics can lead to an infection that is resistant to antibiotics.
