Nubeqa (Darolutamide) is a prescription medication used to treat men with prostate cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body and no longer responds to medical or surgical treatment that decreases testosterone levels. Darolutamide belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-androgens (anti-testosterone). This medication works by blocking the effects of testosterone to slow the growth and spread of prostate cancer.

Common side effects of Nubeqa may include fatigue; pain in your arms, hands, feet or legs; rashes; low white blood cells; abnormal liver function tests. This medication may raise your blood pressure. Check your blood pressure regularly and contact your doctor if blood pressure results seem concerning.
Call your doctor immediately if you notice any severe side effects such as:
• Blood in your urine, painful or difficult urination;
• Diarrhea, or severe ongoing nausea;
• Severe headache, blurred vision, fainting;
• Signs of blood clots in your lungs;
• Signs of a lung infection;
• Slow heart rate or slow breathing
This is not a complete list of side effects, and others may occur. Contact your doctor immediately if any of these side effects worsen or persist.
Before taking Nubeqa (Darolutamide), tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any types of medications; or if you have any other allergies. Inform your doctor regarding your medical history, and if you have a history of kidney problems, or liver problems. This medication can affect fertility in males. Nubeqa can harm an unborn baby or cause a miscarriage if a woman is exposed to it during pregnancy. This medication should not be used if you are breast-feeding. Use effective birth control if your partner can get pregnant. Tell your doctor right away if a pregnancy occurs while you are using this medication. It cannot be safe to use certain medications at the same time as using Nubeqa. It can affect your blood levels which may increase the side effects or make the medication less effective. Tell your doctor about all your medications you start or stop using while you are taking Nubeqa. There may be a drug interaction between Nubeqa and other medications including prescription, over the counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Other medications can affect the removal of Nubeqa from your body, which may affect how this medication works. Nubeqa is not for use by women.
