Nivemycin (Neomycin Sulfate) is used to treat and prevent skin infections caused by bacteria and bacterial infections in the intestines. It may also be used to reduce the symptoms of hepatic coma. Neomycin belongs to a class of drugs known as aminoglycoside antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria in the intestines.
