Myinfla (Colchicine extended-release) is a prescription medication used to reduce atherothrombotic events in adult patients with existing coronary artery disease (CAD). CAD is the narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries, which supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart. This condition is caused by plaque buildup in the wall of the coronary arteries. Myinfla is often used in combination with therapies like LDL-C lowering and antithrombotic drug treatment. The active ingredient in Myinfla is Colchicine extended-release. Colchicine extended release belongs to a class of drugs called anti-inflammatories. It works by decreasing inflammation in the arteries. Colchicine is not a pain medication and should not be taken for pain relief.
