Monopost belongs to a class of medications known as prostaglandins. It is used to lower the pressure within the eye, for treating conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Both of these conditions are linked with an increase in pressure within your eye, eventually affecting the eye sight. Monopost lowers the pressure inside the eye by increasing the natural outflow of the fluid from the eye into the bloodstream. Always use the eye drops as prescribed by your doctor. The usual dose for adults is one drop once a day in the affected eye. The best time to use the eye drops is in the evening. Do not use it more than once a day, because the effectiveness of the treatment can be reduced by using it more often. If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before using Monopost and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting your contact lenses back in.
