Merional (Menotropins) is used to treat certain fertility problems in females. It helps stimulate healthy ovaries to make eggs by providing follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). This medication is used in combination with the HCG hormone to help women get pregnant by ovulation.

Before you start using this medication, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to Menotropins or if you have any other allergies. You should also talk to your doctor about your medical history before you start using this medication. Multiple births may occur because of this treatment. Stop using this medication when you become pregnant. It is not known if this drug passes into breast milk.
