Maxalt MLT (Rizatriptan orally disintegrating Tablet or orally dissolving tablet ODT) is prescription medication used to treat acute migraine headaches in adults and children 6 years old. Rizatriptan belongs to the group of medications called serotonin 5-HT1 receptor agonists or triptans that working by affecting the certain natural substance to relieve the pain from migraine headaches. It is not used to prevent migraine or migraine attack or not treat for cluster headaches. Take Maxalt MLT exactly prescribed.

We currently have the brand Maxalt MLT comes from Canada and Turkey manufactured by Merck. Generic Rizatriptan ODT comes from Canada manufactured by Mylan. Maxalt MLT is designed to be dissolved on the tongue because it is an orally disintegrating tablet. It comes in a blister pack and available in strengths of 5 mg and 10 mg.

Maxalt also comes in regular tablets in 5 mg and 10 mg.

The most common side effects of Maxalt MLT include:
• Dizziness;
• Dry mouth;
• Hot flashes;
• Nausea;
• Vomiting;
• Weakness or tiredness;

• Chest pain;
• Fast heartbeat;
• Hallucinations;
• Itching or swelling of the face/tongue/throat;
• Muscle pain;
