Lovenox (Enoxaparin) is used to treat or prevent a type of blood clot called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) which can lead to blood clots in the lungs. Enoxaparin belongs to the group of medications known as anticoagulants or antithrombotic agents. This medication is also used to prevent blood vessel complications in people with certain types of angina (chest pain) or heart attack.

We currently have the brand Clexane from Turkey, UK and Canada manufactured by Sanofi Aventis. It is available in the strengths of 20 mg/0.2 ml, 30 mg, 40 mg/0.4 ml, 60 mg/0.6 ml, 80 mg/0.8 ml, 100 mg/1.0 ml, 120 mg/0.8 ml and 150 mg syringes.

You should not use Lovenox if you are allergic to enoxaparin, heparin, benzyl alcohol, or pork products, or if you have active bleeding. Inform any doctor who treats you that you are using Lovenox. Before you start taking the medication, inform your doctor about your medical conditions and about all the medications you are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. Lovenox is not expected to harm an unborn baby.
