Kenacomb (Gramicidin/neomycin/nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide) is a prescription medication used to relieve inflammation and itching of skin conditions that are already infected or likely to become infected. Kenacomb is effective against different types of acne, including inflammatory acne, comedonal acne, and cystic acne. Kenacomb is a combination medicine and the active ingredients in Kenacomb are Gramicidin, Neomycin, Nystatin, and Triamcinolone acetonide. Gramicidin and Neomycin belong to a class of medications called antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria on the skin’s surface to prevent further breakouts. Nystatin belongs to a class of medications called antifungals. It works by killing and preventing the growth of fungi that may contribute to acne. Triamcinolone acetonide belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation and relieving itching and skin redness.

We currently offer the generic Gramicidin/neomycin/nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide also called Viaderm- KC from Canada in the strength of 30 gm and 60 gm cream. The brand Kenacomb is not available.
Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Kenacomb. The most common side effects of Kenacomb may include the following:
• Changes in skin color;
• Excessive hair growth;
• Mild skin irritation;
• Skin rash
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Problems with your balance;
• Severe fluid retention;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, including hives, wheezing, breathing difficulties, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
These are not all of the side effects of Kenacomb. Always contact your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.
You should not use Kenacomb if you are allergic to Gramicidin, Neomycin, Nystatin, Triamcinolone acetonide, or any ingredient in Kenacomb. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed;
• Are pregnant or planning to be pregnant;
• Have viral skin infections such as chicken pox, shingle, or cold sores;
• Have tuberculosis
Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Kenacomb and other medicines, especially other topical medications. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is unknown if Kenacomb will harm an unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. It is unknown if Gramicidin, Neomycin, Nystatin, or Triamcinolone acetonide passes into breast milk or if it may affect a nursing infant. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this medication when breastfeeding. Use Kenacomb precisely as prescribed by your doctor. Kenacomb is an ointment and should be used only on the skin. Do not take it by mouth. Apply the ointment to affected areas two to three times daily. Wash your hands before and after applying the medication. Be careful not to get the ointment into your eyes. Your doctor will let you know how long to use Kenacomb. Do not stop using the drug even if your symptoms improve within the first few days of treatment. Complete your dose. Use the ointment sparingly and wear loosely fitted clothing if you apply it to your groin area. Avoid using dressings or bandages to cover or wrap the treated skin area. Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 250C. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
