Gemtesa (Vibegron) is a prescription medication used to treat overactive bladder (OAB). OAB is a condition where there is a strong, sudden urge to urinate that is difficult to resist, often leading to leakage. It is also characterized by the frequent need to urinate. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this medicine when breastfeeding with your doctor. Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Gemtesa comes as a tablet. Swallow this medicine whole. If you cannot swallow a tablet whole, you may crush it and mix it with one tablespoon of applesauce. Swallow the mixture right away with a glass of water. Do not save the mixture for later use. Take this drug with a full glass of water. You may take this drug with or without food. Do not share Gemtesa with others, even if they have the same condition. It may harm them. You may consider lifestyle modifications such as bladder training and kegel exercises. You can also consider maintaining adequate fluid intake and limiting bladder irritants like caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods. Store this drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
