Foradil Aerolizer (Formoterol Fumarate) is prescription medication used to treat long-term (maintenance) asthma or symptoms of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) in adults and children ages 5 and older. Formoterol is a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) that works by helping muscles relaxed in the lung to prevent asthma symptoms. Foradil Aerolizer should be used with a long-term asthma control medications. Foradil Aerolizer is not used to treat sudden symptoms of asthma or COPD. Take Foradil Aerolizer exactly prescribed.

We currently have the brand Foradil Aerolizer also called Foradil Inhaler comes from Canada and Australia manufactured by Novartis. Foradil comes with a blister pack of capsules containing the medicine and an inhaler device for taking the medicine. It is available in one dosage strength of 12 mcg/60 dose in quantity of 1 or 3. Generic Formoterol Fumarate is not available now.
The most common side effects of Foradil Aerolizer include:
• Headache;
• Insomnia;
• Nausea;
• Respiratory infections;
• Stomach upset;
If you suffer any serious side effects as below, please notify your doctor or pharmacist immediately:
• Allergic reactions including hives, rash, swelling of the face, mouth, and tongue;
• Breathing problems;
• Chest pain;
• Increased blood sugar levels;
• Irregular heart beat;
• Low blood potassium;
• Tremor;
Do not swallow the Foradil capsule. Foradil capsules are used only with the Aerolizer inhaler that comes with Foradil Aerolizer. This medicine contains lactose (milk sugar) and a small amount of milk proteins. It is possible to have the allergic reactions in some patients. Do not take Foradil Aerolizer if you are allergic to Formoterol Fumarate or any other ingredients in this medication. Tell your doctor about all the medical conditions you have had before, especially if you have:
• Diabetes;
• Heart disease;
• High blood pressure;
• Planning to have a surgery;
• Thyroid problems;
