Evotaz (Atazanavir/Cobicistat) is a prescription medication used with other HIV medications to help control HIV infection. It helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body so your immune system can work better. Evotaz is a combination of two medications (Atazanavir/Cobicistat) in one pill. This medication is used in combination with other antiretroviral medications to treat HIV. Atazanavir is a protease inhibitor antiviral medication that prevents HIV from multiplying in your body. Cobicistat reduces the action of the enzymes in your liver that breaks down certain antiviral medications. Evotaz may also help raise the number of T cells in your body to normal levels, which will help you fight other infections.
