Eurax (crotamiton) is a topical cream used to treat certain infections of the skin such as scabies, and to reduce itching associated with certain skin conditions. Eurax belongs to a class or medications called scabicide and antipruritic medications (anti-itching medication), and works to treat scabies infections by killing the mites that cause scabies.

Canadian Pharmacy King currently offers the brand Eurax from Canada by 3M in the strength of 10%/50 gm and the United Kingdom by Novartis in the dosage of 10 %/100 gm. The generic alternative is currently unavailable.
The common side effects of Eurax may include mild itching or new rash at the application site.

You should not use Eurax if you are allergic to crotamiton. To make sure this medication is safe for you, tell your doctor about any health conditions you may have. It is unknown whether or not this medication will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if this medication will pass into breast milk, or if it will harm a nursing baby. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby to discuss any possible risks. Avoid getting this medication in your nose, eyes, or mouth. Rinse with water if contact does occur. Parasite infestations are highly contagious. Using Eurax will not prevent you from passing scabies to other people. Avoid sexual or intimate contact until the infestation is cleared up. Also avoid sharing hair combs, hair accessories, hats, clothing, bed linens, and other articles of personal use. This medication is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old. Eurax is not expected to interact with any medications. Tell your doctor about any medications (topical or oral), vitamins, or herbal supplements you are currently taking or have recently taken in order to reduce the risk of any possible interactions. This medication is typically used as two doses, 24 hours apart. Do not use this medication in larger or smaller amounts, or for longer than recommended. Call your doctor if you still have itching 2 to 4 weeks after you finish treatment for scabies.
