Estradot (Estradiol-17B) is used to treat symptoms of menopause such as abnormal uterine bleeding, chills, hot flushes and sweating. Estradiol patch belongs to the class of medications known as estrogen replacement therapy. Estradot patches are a continuous, oestrogen-only form of HRT. The patches release Estradiol through the skin into the bloodstream at a constant rate. Women who have not had a hysterectomy must also take progestin with this medication to prevent complications associated with taking estrogen alone. These patches are designed to be changed twice a week.
