Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Dilantin Infatabs may harm an unborn baby and cause a bleeding problem in newborns. Use effective non-hormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy when taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Phenytoin is excreted in breast milk in low concentrations and may harm a nursing infant. Take Dilantin Infatabs precisely as prescribed by your doctor. Chew or swallow the tablet whole. Do not stop taking this drug without talking to your doctor. Stopping this drug all of a sudden increases your risk of seizures. Avoid driving or carrying out tasks that require alertness until you know how Dilantin Infatabs affect you. Keep this medicine in its original container out of sight and reach of children. Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
