Detrol is a medication used to treat an overactive bladder that includes a strong need to urinate with leaking or wetting accidents, a strong need to urinate right away, and urinating often. Detrol belongs to a class of drugs known as antimuscarinics. It works by relaxing the muscles of the bladder preventing bladder contraction. Relaxing muscles in the bladder will improve your ability to control your urination.
