Dermatix Scar Gel is an over-the-counter medication used to minimize the appearance of old and new scars caused by acne, surgery, injury, burns, stretch marks, etc. The active ingredient in Dermatix Scar Gel is Polysiloxane. Polysiloxane belongs to a class of drugs called silicones. It works by forming a physical barrier on the skin's surface to aid the body's natural healing process.

Dermatix Scar Gel does not contain corrosive or abrasive chemicals. It is not expected to cause side effects or allergic reactions. However, if you experience redness or irritation on or around the application site, stop using the product and contact your doctor.
You should not use Dermatix Scar Gel if you are allergic to Dermatix Scar Gel or any ingredient in Dermatix Scar Gel. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed;
• Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant;
• Have broken or infected skin;
• Have silicone allergy
Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Dermatix Scar Gel and other medicines, like topical medications. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is unknown if Dermatix Scar Gel will harm an unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. It is unknown if Dermatix Scar Gel passes into breast milk or if it may harm your nursing infant. Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Dermatix Scar Gel comes as a gel. Gently clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Allow the area to fully dry. Apply a thin layer of the gel to cover the scar. Allow the gel to dry for 4-5 minutes. Remove the excess gel if it has not dried completely in the mentioned time. Use this medication at least twice daily, in the morning and evening. Use Dermatix Scar Gel consistently for at least 2 months for the best results. This medication is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Dermatix Scar Gel may stain your clothing if not properly dried. Do not use this medication with lotion, creams, or other ointment. They may cause interference with the performance of the drug and might irritate the skin. Do not use Dermatix Scar Gel on fresh, open, or unhealed wounds. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after use to prevent the gel from drying out. Store this drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
