Credelio Plus (Lotilaner/Milbemycin Oxime) is a prescription medication used to kill adult fleas. The drug is also used to prevent flea infestations caused by Ctenocephalides felis. Credelio Plus may also be used to treat and control flea infestations caused by Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick), Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick) and Rhipicephalus sanguineus (brown dog tick). The drug protects dogs and puppies at least 8 weeks older and weighing more than 4.4 lbs (1.4 kg) for one month. Credelio Plus is a combination medicine. The active ingredients in Credelio Plus are Lotilaner and Milbemycin Oxime. Lotilaner belongs to a class of drugs called isoxazoline insecticides. Milbemycin Oxime belongs to a class of medications called antihelmintics. They work by causing paralysis and, eventually, the death of parasites.

Get medical help immediately if your dog has any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Credelio Plus. The most common side effects of Credelio Plus may include the following:
• Appetite loss;
• Diarrhea;
• Hyperactivity;
• Lethargy;
• Vomiting
Contact your veterinarian right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Signs of neurologic adverse reaction, including tremors, ataxia, and seizures
These are not all of the side effects of Credelio Plus. Always contact your veterinarian if you notice any unusual symptoms.
You should not give your dog Credelio Plus if it is allergic to Lotilaner, Milbemycin Oxime, or any ingredient in Credelio Plus. Before you start administering this medication, tell your veterinarian about your dog’s medical history, especially if it:
• Has a history of neurological disorders or seizures;
• Has p-glycoprotein deficiency with MDR or ABCB1-1 delta gene mutation;
• Is lactating;
• Is pregnant or breeding
Tell your veterinarian about all your dog’s medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between the Credelio Plus and other medicines. Tell your veterinarian if your dog is pregnant or breeding. It is unknown if Credelio Plus will harm a pregnant or breeding dog. Discuss the benefits and risks of administering this drug to a pregnant or breeding dog with your veterinarian. Inform your veterinarian if your dog is lactating. It is unknown if Credelio Plus passes into breast milk or if it may harm a lactating dog or nursing puppy. Administer this medicine exactly as your veterinarian prescribes. Credelio Plus comes as a chewable tablet. You should ensure your dog takes this drug by mouth. Do not give to puppies younger than 8 weeks old or dogs weighing less than 4.4 lbs (1.4 kg). If your dog is a collie or has p-glycoprotein deficiency with MDR or ABCB1-1 delta gene mutation, it is more prone to the side effects of this drug. Discuss the safety of using this drug for your dog with your veterinarian. Credelio Plus is not 100% effective in preventing all strains of heartworm. All dogs older than 6 months should be tested for existing heartworm infection before the first treatment with this medicine. Use this drug only when prescribed by your veterinarian. Administering Credelio Plus repeatedly may result in parasite resistance to the drug. Do not take this drug. It is not for use in humans. Wash your hands immediately after administering Credelio Plus. Store this drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
