Cosopt (Dorzolamide/Timolol) is a combination prescription eye medication that is used for the treatment of high pressure inside the eye due to open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Lowering the high blood pressure inside the eye will help prevent blindness. Dorzolamide belongs to the class of drugs known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors and Timolol belongs to a class of drugs known as beta-blockers. This combination medication works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye.

Canadian Pharmacy King currently offers the brand Cosopt from Canada manufactured by Merck. The generic Dorzolamide/Timolol is available from India also called Dorzox-T manufactured by Cipla. Cosopt is available in the strength of 2%/0.5%/10 ml, 2%/0.5%/5 ml and 2%/0.5% 60x0.2 ml preservative free dose.

The common side effects of Cosopt may include dry eyes, headache, feeling as if something is in the eye, sensitivity of eyes to light, strange taste in the mouth, temporary blurred vision, temporary burning stinging itching and redness of the eye, watery eyes.
