Cortivera (Hydrocortisone with aloe vera) is an over-the-counter cream used to treat skin inflammation and itching. Dermatitis, eczema, rash, poison ivy, and poison oak are common inflammatory skin conditions. Allergens, extreme temperatures, and stress can trigger skin inflammation. The active ingredient in Cortivera is Hydrocortisone with aloe vera. Hydrocortisone belongs to a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the body to reduce swelling, redness, and itching. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory effects, reducing swelling and redness.
