Calmo eye care is an over-the-counter medication used to protect against dry eyes due to excessive tear evaporation. A dry eye can make the eyes feel tired, uncomfortable, and irritated. If left untreated, dry eye can lead to corneal damage. The active ingredient in Calmo eye care is liposomes. The liposomes stabilize the lipid layer of the tear film. The lipid layer is a very thin layer of fat that protects tears from evaporating and prevents tears from running over the lid margin. Without lipids, there is an increased evaporation of tears. Calmo eye care is available as lid care and eye spray. Calmo eye care lid care is a soap-free liposomal suspension for maintaining the hygiene of the lashes and eyelids. The drug is used for removing ocular debris and makeup. Calmo eye care eye spray also helps to relieve symptoms of screen fatigue. This drug is ideal for people who dislike eye drops.
