Blocadren (Timolol) is used to treat high blood pressure. It is also used after a heart attack to prevent another heart attack from happening, and to treat migraine headaches. Treating high blood pressure could help prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as Beta Blockers. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals such as epinephrine on the heart and blood vessels. This lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
