Australian Gold (Sun Tan and After Sun Preparation) is an over-the-counter medication used to help you build a natural golden glow on a sunbed or while sunbathing outdoors. Without adequate protection, overexposure to the sun can cause premature aging of the skin, development of cataracts, and increase the risk of cancers. The active ingredients in Australian Gold are Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide belong to a class of drugs called mineral sunscreens. They work by forming a protective layer on the skin surface to reflect UV rays.
