Anusol Plus (Pramoxine Hydrochloride/Zinc Sulfate) is a soothing ointment with a gentle astringent used to reduce swelling, which gives your hemorrhoids a better chance to heal. It also has an added anesthetic for extra pain relief. The Anusol Plus suppository is a suppository designed to be sleek for comfortable insertion and it contains a gentle astringent to reduce swelling, giving the hemorrhoids a better chance to heal, and it also has an anesthetic for extra pain relief from hemorrhoids. This medication is also used to treat Proctitis and Cryptitis. It may also be used an add-on medication for chronic ulcerative colitis. Anusol HC is a corticosteroid and works to reduce swelling, itching, and redness by lowering the amount of chemicals that causes this.

The common side effects of Anusol Plus include burning, changes in skin color around the rectal area, dryness, itching, and skin or hair follicle irritation.

A very serious allergic reaction to this medication is very rare. Seek immediately medical attention if you have any signs of an allergic reaction. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects of Anusol Plus such as:
• Black or tarry stools;
• Bone pain or brittle bones;
• Irregular heartbeat;
• Mental or mood changes;
• Muscle weakness or pain;
• Rectal bleeding;
• Signs of an infection;
• Symptoms of stomach or intestinal bleeding;
• Unusual bruising or bleeding;
• Vomit that looks like coffee

• Bleeding or blood clotting problems;
• Bone loss;
• Certain eye conditions;
• Diabetes;
• Heart problems;
• High blood pressure;

Limit alcoholic beverages. Tell your doctor about all your medications including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Anusol Plus and other medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
