Anoro Ellipta (Umeclidinium Bromide/Vilanterol Trifenatate) is a NEW prescription inhalation powder drug used by patients with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema. Anoro contains 2 medicines (bronchodilators) that work together to relax smooth muscles around airways and open air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. It is a dual bronchodilator (dual-action inhaler) that includes two medicines, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (umeclidinium, LAMA) and a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (vilanterol, LABA). This is a long-term once daily maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients. Anoro is not for asthma. It is not used to relieve sudden symptoms of COPD and won't replace a rescue inhaler.
