Adenocard (Adenosine injection) is prescription medication used to treat irregular heartbeat. Adenosine belongs to the class of drugs called antiarrhythmic agent that works by slowing the heart rate and normalizing heart rhythm. It also used during a heart stress test. Adenocard injection or prefilled syringe is approved for terminating for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT). Use Adenocard exactly as prescribed.

Adenocard and Adenoscan are commonly used brand names in US. We currently have the brand Adenocard comes from Canada manufactured Astellas Pharma. Adenocard is available in a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for a rapid bolus intravenous injection. Each ml contains 3 mg adenosine and 9 mg sodium. Adenocard is supplied in 2 ml and 4 ml prefilled syringes. Generic Adenosine is also known as Adenocor comes from India manufactured by Sanofi Aventis. It is available in 2 ml vial.

The most common side effects of Adenocard include:
• Dizziness;
• Headache;
• Feeling faint;
• Stomach pain;
• Tingling of the senses;
