• Are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed;
• Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant

Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. Accuchek FastClix is a device and is not expected to interact with other medicines. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Accuchek FastClix is not expected to harm an unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Accuchek FastClix does not contain active ingredients and is not expected to pass into breast milk. Accuchek FastClix comes as a lancet. You have to insert a lancet drum to be able to draw blood with the lancing device. Only insert Accuchek FastClix lancets into the Accuchek FastClix lancing device. Wash your hands with warm water and soap before use. Dry your hands well. Pull the cap off the lancing device. Insert a new lancet drum, white end first, into the lancing device. Place the cap back on again, lining up the notch on the cap with the notch on the lancing device. The cap is on correctly when you push it as far as it goes. You must hear and feel the cap click into place. Each lancet drum should contain 6 lancets. Do not remove the lancet drum before all 6 lancets are used. Clean the puncture site before obtaining blood to reduce the risk of infection. Press the lancing device firmly against the selected puncture site. Press the release button all the way down. The lancet is released and penetrates the skin. Massage the finger in the direction of the fingertip to encourage a blood drop to form. Do not press or squeeze the finger. This can cause tissue fluid to mix with the blood and falsify the values.

Test your blood immediately after you obtain the blood. If the lancet drum is damaged, the lancets can be unsterile and lead to infection. Visually inspect the lancet drum. Do not use it if it is deformed, cracked, or damaged. If the lancet has come into contact with blood, it can transmit infections. Do not share Accuchek FastClix with other people, even family members. This product contains small parts that can be swallowed. Keep the small parts away from small children and people who might swallow small parts. Do not store the lancets at extreme temperatures or in excessive humidity, sunlight, and heat.
