Serious side effects may include:
• Bleeding that will not stop, nosebleeds, bleeding gums;
• Blood in your urine or stools;
• Coughing blood;

• Pain in the chest, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating;
• Weakness
Less serious side effects may include:

Do not use Effient if you are allergic to Prasugrel, or if you have any active bleeding such as a stomach ulcer or bleeding in the brain. Take this medication exactly as it is prescribed by your doctor. Take this medication with a full glass of water. Do not crush or break an Effient tablet, swallow the pill whole. Before you start taking Effient, inform your doctor if you are taking a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin). This medication is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. It is unknown whether Prasugrel passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Inform your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
