Vyloma (Imiquimod cream) is used to treat external genital and perianal warts caused by the human papillomavirus. It belongs to a group of medications called immune response modifiers. It works by stimulating the body’s defenses to fight certain types of skin conditions.

Contact your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any of the following side effects:

• An increase in blood pressure;
• Any signs or symptoms in the treatment area that bothers you;
• Any signs or symptoms that make it difficult to continue applying the medication;
• Flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, nausea);
• Open sore or scabs on skin;
• Pain in the chest;

Avoid sexual contact while the cream is on your skin if it was applied to the external genital area.
