Takecab (Vonoprazan) is a potassium-competitive acid blocker used in the treatment of erosive diseases of the digestive tract, including reflux esophagitis and duodenal ulcers. Takecab belongs to a class of drugs known as potassium-competitive acid blockers. This medication works by inhibiting the binding of potassium ions to H+, K+-ATPase in the final step of gastric acid secretion in gastric parietal cells, which lowers gastric acid levels.
