Refresh (eye lubricant) is an over the counter eye lubricant used to relieve burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes. Refresh belongs to the class of medications called ocular lubricants. Refresh is a carefully formulated solution that works by adding some of the same elements that your tears naturally have. This helps your tear film work more effectively to protect the surface of your eyes, and in turn reduce symptoms caused by dry eyes. You should not use Refresh to treat or prevent an eye infection. Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they worsen.
