Ranexa (Ranolazine) is an extended release anti-anginal medication that is used to treat chronic chest pain. This medication may also be used with beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, and angiotensin receptor blockers. Ranolazine works by improving blood flow to help the heart work more efficiently. The recommended initial dose is 500mg twice daily and it may be escalated to a maximum of 1000mg twice daily based on disease response.

Common side effects include:
