Pred Forte (Prednisolone Acetate) is steroid eye drop medication used to treat inflammation caused by allergies, severe acne, shingles, eye injuries, chemical burns, or other conditions. The usual recommended start dose is 1%/5ml eye drops.

The brand Pred Forte is manufactured by Allergan and currently comes from Canada and India. The generic Prednisolone Acetate comes from Canada manufactured by a different manufacturer. • Signs of eye infection:
o Crusting
o Drainage
o Redness
o Severe discomfort
o Swelling
• Small white or yellow patches on the surface of your eye

Less serious side effects of Prednisolone Acetate may include: Mild stinging, burning, or irritation of the treated eye(s).

This medication is not approved for anyone younger than 18 years of age. There may be an interaction between Pred Forte and other medications, though side effects are unlikely with eye medications. Talk to your doctor about any medications or herbal supplements you are currently taking.
