Permax is an ergot derivative dopamine receptor agonist used to treat the stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control in patients with Parkinson's disease. Permax is often used in conjunction with other medicines in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Pergolide is also used in horses to control the signs and symptoms of Cushing's disease.

• Anxiety, agitation, insomnia;
• Back pain;
• Constipation, diarrhea;
• Decreased appetite, feeling weak;
• Dizziness, drowsiness;
• Dry mouth;
• Nausea, vomiting;
• Sinus congestion;
• Stomach cramps, upset stomach
Contact your doctor immediately if you have any of these serious side effects:
• Dyskinesia;
• Hallucinations;
• Hypotension;
• Loss of appetite;
• Sleep disturbance;
• Tachycardia
